Biography

Leroy P. Selle, 65, of Waverly, MO, died Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waverly. Burial will be in the Waverly Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waverly Lion’s Club, or Crossroads Hospice of Kansas City, all in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Born April 16, 1947 in Waverly, he was the son of the late Emil Selle and Bertha Rogge Selle. He had lived in Waverly his entire life where he was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He worked in the housekeeping department of Fitzgibbon Hospital at Marshall for 23 years, retiring on July 12, 2012. Leroy was a member of Waverly Lion’s Club, an associate member of the Waverly Jaycee’s, and was active in the church.

Survivors include four sisters: Jean Phillips of Waverly, Evelyn Borgstadt of Concordia, Shirley Limback of Alma, and Janice Wagner of Higginsville; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Selle.
