David W. Kemper, 55, of rural Marshall, MO, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012, in rural Saline County, MO.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Marshall FFA Chapter. Born July 1, 1957, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Harold R. Kemper and Mary Lewellen Kemper who survives of rural Sweet Springs, MO. He was a 1975 graduate of Marshall High School and a 1979 graduate of Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. He was a farmer and a member of Farm Bureau where he had served on the board. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Marshall where he had served on the church board.
In addition to his mother, survivors include one sister, Pam Plattner of rural Grand Pass, MO; one niece, Tiffany Robinson and husband George; two nephews, Adam Plattner and wife Angela, and Aaron Plattner; one great-nephew, Bennett Robinson; two great-nieces, Kemper Robinson and Ava Plattner; and longtime friend, Connie Hill of Marshall.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jay Plattner.
