Biography

Geraldine Ritchey, 83, of Marshall, MO, died Friday, August 3, 2012, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at First Christian Church in Marshall, with Rev. Don Brezavar and William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born October 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Oscar M. Willis and Riva Irene Sullivan Willis. She was a graduate of Miami High School and attended Missouri Valley College. On December 24, 1947, in Miami, she married Raymond Charles (Dick) Ritchey, Jr. who preceded her in death on March 29, 2009. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church, its New
Century Sunday school class and Christian Women's Fellowship. She was also a member of Chapter JS of the PEO Sisterhood, Marshall Chapter 408 Order of the Eastern Star, Marshall Coterie Club, Jefferson Club and Marshall Duplicate Bridge Club.

Survivors include one son, Raymond Charles Ritchey, III and wife, Ginger Jones Ritchey, of Raytown, MO; two daughters, Vickie Diane Wise and her husband, Kenneth Wayne Wise, of rural Miami, MO and Phyllis Irene Ritchey of Leawood, KS; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roy M. Willis and his wife, Barbara, of rural Miami; several nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends.
