Frances Jane Holder, 94, of rural Nelson, MO, died Friday, August 3, 2012, at Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Salt Fork Cemetery in Cooper County. Memorials may be made to Salt Fork Cemetery. Born March 18, 1918, in Cooper County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Younger and Harriet Smith Younger. She lived in rural Nelson her entire life and was a 1938 graduate of Nelson High School. On January 28, 1940, she married Harold L. Holder who preceded her in death on June 1, 2007. She worked on the family farm as well as being a homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter, Nina Read and husband, Evert, of Blue Springs, MO; one son, Jim L. Holder of rural Nelson; one grandson, Timothy Read and wife, Rebecca, of Blue Springs; one brother, Jim Younger of Kansas City, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
