Biography

Vincent M. “Vince” Cutler, 87, of Houstonia, MO, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Sweet Springs Villa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sweet Springs, with Fr. Tom Alber officiating. Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs with visitation following from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia, MO. Pallbearers will be Ron Cutler, Mike Taylor, Christian Stetzenbach, Tyler Woods, Russell Scott, Russell Scott, II, Robert Kempf and Henry Kempf. Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or Sweet Springs Villa Activity Fund. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born April 15, 1925, in Kansas City, MO, he was the son of the late Emmett S. Cutler and Genevieve Manning Cutler. On December 26, 1953, he married Virginia Lucille Mullins who survives of the home. Vince lived most of his life in Saline and Pettis County. He was a cement mason for 45 years and a member of Local 351 and 368. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of Sedalia Knights of Columbus Assembly 576, Council 831. He attained the rank of 4th degree, the highest rank possible.

In addition to his wife, Vince is survived by a daughter, Edie Taylor of Houstonia; a son, Joe Cutler and wife Tammy of Houstonia; five grandchildren, Diana Williams and husband Patrick, Ron Cutler and wife Leah, Elizabeth Woods and husband Tyler, Mike Taylor and Christian Stetzenbach; one great- granddaughter, Kayleigh Cutler; one sister, Catherine “Katie” Scott of Sweet Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Vince was preceded in death by one brother, E.J. Cutler; and two sisters, Thelma Kempf and Marie Cutler.
