Jeff McGinnis, 52, of Concordia, MO, died Monday, July 16, 2012 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia. Rev. R. Lee Hagan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Saint Paul High School, St. Paul’s Elementary School, or Concordia Fire Protection District, in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Born June 11, 1960, in Lexington, MO, he was the son of Larry McGinnis, who survives of Concordia, and the late Marian R. Limback McGinnis. On July 24, 1982 he married Kimberli A. Cino, who survives of the home. Jeff was a 1978 graduate of Concordia High School and following his marriage, moved to Liberty, MO where he and Kim lived until 1995. While in Liberty, he was an active member of the Southern Clay County Jaycees, serving in various positions at the local, regional, and state levels. After returning to Concordia he was co-owner and operator of T.J.’s Auto Service, with his brother Todd. He joined the Concordia Fire Protection District on October 6, 1997 and Concordia E.M.S. on February 12, 2001, and at the time of his death, was still an active volunteer for both. He coached girl’s softball, and just last week, coached the LaCoMo East 10-11 year old All Star Team. Jeff was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and an active member of the Concordia community.

He is survived by his wife, Kim McGinnis of the home; two children, Nicole R. McGinnis and Braxton K. McGinnis, both of the home; his father, Larry McGinnis of Concordia; two brothers, Rusty McGinnis and wife Pat, Todd McGinnis and wife Lori, all of Concordia; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
