Biography

William Ray Leimkuehler, 85, of Camdenton, MO, formerly of Saline County, MO, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the American Legion Post 191 in Marshall. Mr. Leimkuehler was born on December 20, 1926, in rural Napton, MO, the son of the late Fred McKinley and Maude Mae LeFaivre Leimkuehler. On January 4, 1948, he married Minnie Berniece Humphreys who preceded him in death on November 1, 2003. He lived and farmed near Hardeman most of his life and was active in community and farm organizations in the Saline County area. He also lived in Springfield and Camdenton. He was employed at Home Depot until the time of his death. Mr. Leimkuehler served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 191.

He is survived by one son, Kenneth R. Leimkuehler of Sunrise Beach, MO; one daughter, Linda J. Leimkuehler of Tampa, FL. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
