Life Legacy
Herman (Bud) Shively, 82, of Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Campbell-Lewis Chapel with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Born November 8, 1929, in Wynot, NE, he was the son of the late Andy Shively and Vera Davis Shively. On October 11, 1952, he married Betty Cline who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 1970, where he was a supervisor at Con-Agra Frozen Foods, retiring from there after 20 years of service. Prior to that, he farmed, and has always enjoyed repairing lawn mowers, and anything to do with small engines. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Pat Moody and husband Kerwin of Marshall, Doris Nolte and husband Dennis, of Blackburn; four sons, Billy Shively and wife Lana, John Shively and wife Bev, (Donald) Donnie Shively and wife Debbie, Roy Shively and wife Phyllis, all of Marshall; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Shively of East Prairie, MO; four sisters: Linda Brown of Mt. Vernon, IL, Carolyn Mackey of Julian, CA, Jean Bomb of Benton, MO and Mary Jerry of the state of Ohio; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy VanDeren; one brother, Cliff Shively; three sisters: Dee Amroso, Emma Gibson, and Alice Ownby.
