Mona G. Hinton, 79, of Marshall, MO, died Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born October 5, 1932, in Saline County, MO, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Bowers and Ethel Hinton Bowers Fogle. She was a 1950 graduate of Marshall High School and lived in Marshall most of her life. On June 10, 1950, she married Roy Hinton, Jr. who survives of the home. She was a retired dental assistant and a member of the First Christian Church in Marshall.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Gary Hinton and wife Karen of Chillicothe, MO; one daughter, Cindy McKnelly and husband Mike of Springfield, MO; four grandchildren, Brandy McKnelly, Laura Keene, Drew Hinton and Kelsey Hinton; two great-grandchildren, Katherine Shoenberger and Kyleigh Keene; two brothers, Kenneth Bowers of Marshall and Harvey (Butch) Fogle of Columbia, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
