Biography

Charles F. Jackson, 85, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Friday, July 16, 2010 at The Living Center in Marshall.

Graveside services with military rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Memorials may be made to family choice. An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born February 6, 1925 in Kansas City, KS, he was the son of the late William L. Jackson and Stella Marie Packham. He had lived in Sweet Springs the last seven years and he spent the majority of his life working as a laborer in numerous saw mills. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from November 19,1948 until he was honorably discharged on October 13, 1950.

Survivors include three brothers: Donald L. Jackson of Sedalia, James Jackson of Houstonia, Jack Jackson and wife Joy of Forsyth; three sisters: Laura Rozzel of Kansas City, Bonnie Taylor of Spokane, WA and Yvonne Hall of Houstonia; one half-sister, Brenda Wiklund of West Plains; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Lester Jackson; three sisters: Olive Robertson, Martha Hall, Betty Iliff and Margaret Clark.
