Biography

Olga Borgman, 94, of Boonville, MO, formerly of Saline City, MO, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Riverdell Care Center in Boonville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Saline City, with Rev. Mark Hass officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Donald Borgman, Ralph Borgman, Dennis Gessling, Douglas Borgman, Norbert Gessling and Marlin Gessling. Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Borgman and Gary Lorant. Born June 13, 1915, in rural Forest Green, MO, she was the daughter of the late Fred Gessling and Josephine Linneman Gessling. On May 19, 1940, at Salem Lutheran Church in Forest Green, she married Alvin Borgman who preceded her in death on April 3, 2001. She lived in the Saline City area most of her life and was a homemaker before moving to Columbia and later to Boonville. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.

Survivors include three sons, Eldred Borgman and wife, Donna of Boonville, Gary Borgman and wife Joy of Kissimmee, FL and Ronald Borgman of Columbia; one sister, Gladys Thompson of Columbia, MO; three brothers, Ralph Gessling of Forest Green, Eunice Gessling of Moberly and Ivan Gessling of rural Napton; two grandchildren, Wesley Borgman and wife Jennifer and Michelle Lorant and husband Gary all of the state of Florida; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Virgie Gessling; two sisters, Ruth Gessling and Elaine Terry; and two brothers, William Gessling and Norman Gessling.
