Richard V. Gadberry, 85, of Marshall, MO, died Sunday, February 7, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Born July 15, 1924, in Miami, MO, he was the son of the late Roy V. Gadberry and Lula May Elson Gadberry. On July 15, 1942, he married Anna (Gertie) McKenry who preceded him in death on January 25, 1996. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and was owner and operator of Gadberry Lawn and Garden. He had served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include one brother, Charles Ralph Gadberry of Calera, AL; four nephews, John Jackson and William Jackson both of Columbia, MO, Ronnie Gadberry of Pelham, AL and Roger Allen Gadberry of Marshall; and one niece, Denise Huffman of Calera, AL.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
