Biography
Sandra Jean (Sandy) Stark, 68, of rural Marshall, MO, died Thursday, February 4, 2010, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Born December 18, 1941, in San Bernadino, CA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Turner and Elizabeth (Betty) Hazlett Turner Logston who survives of Marshall. On August 15, 1980, she married Wayne Stark who survives of the home. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a Baptist. She had worked as a secretary at Quinn Concrete retiring in 2000 from Marshall Public Schools as a paraprofessional. She was a past member of American Business Women’s Association.
Additional survivors include her children, Rayetta Self and husband Linn of Napton, MO, Darrell Stark and wife Jean of Fayette, MO, Beverly Stark of Platte City, MO, Jimmy Stark and fiancé Christy Roberts of Houston, TX and Amber Barber and husband Daniel of Marshall; grandchildren, Zack Verts and wife Wendy, Ian Verts and wife Stacy, Jordan Verts and wife Kendra, Whitney Baldridge, Leslie Stark, Stephanie Stark, Carly Stark and Dustyn Stark; great-grandchildren, Ella Verts, Hailie Barber, Marleigh Verts and Emmitt Verts; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Jess Logston, one daughter, Dawnet McKinney, and two sisters, Bobbie Biswell and Julia Ruth Turner
Pallbearers are: John Bacon, Larry Bartel, John Madison, Tom Marsh, Bobby Thomason and Kevin Riggs. Honorary pallbearers are: Zack Verts, Ian Verts and Jordan Verts.
